Waste Removal Sydney ("we", "us") explains here how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What we do
We run a free quote-matching website. You tell us about your rubbish removal job, and we pass your request to one independent local rubbish removal business that services your area, so they can contact you with a quote. We are not a rubbish removal company and we don't do the work ourselves. The business we refer you to pays us a fee for the referral.
2. What we collect
- From you, through our quote form: your name, phone number, email (if given), suburb or postcode, the job details, and any notes you choose to send.
- Automatically: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time of your request. We use it for security, spam prevention and to understand which pages help people.
- From the businesses we work with: business contact details, service areas and billing details.
We don't ask for sensitive information (such as health information). Please don't include it in the form.
3. Why we collect it and who we share it with
We use your details to:
- pass your request to one local rubbish removal business, which will contact you about your job;
- check the request is genuine, and prevent spam or duplicate requests;
- keep records of referrals and billing with that business;
- answer your questions or complaints.
Disclosure for a fee: with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, we disclose your details to one rubbish removal business in exchange for a referral fee. We do not sell your details to marketing lists, and we do not send you marketing.
We also use service providers who process data for us, such as website hosting, form-processing and email delivery providers. Some of them may store data outside Australia (for example in the United States or the European Union). We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.
4. The business we refer you to
Once the business receives your details, it handles them under its own privacy obligations. It is responsible for its own quotes, licensing, insurance and work.
5. Keeping your information secure
We store information with reputable providers, limit access, and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above and our legal and tax records (generally up to 7 years for billing records). Lead details that aren't needed are deleted earlier.
6. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Email quotes@pestcontrolinsydney.com. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
7. Withdrawing consent
You can tell us at any time that you don't want your details shared any further. Details already passed to a business can't be recalled by us, but we'll let that business know you've asked not to be contacted.
8. Complaints
Email quotes@pestcontrolinsydney.com with "Privacy" in the subject line. We aim to resolve complaints within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): www.oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version will always be on this page.
